Scott Henderson in my opinion is one of the most interesting musicians out there and the best guitar player that no one's heard of. If, on the other hand, you are a true student of music and your instrument, you seek out music and players that challenge your ears and mind while also being tremendously entertaining. That's to be expected when most beginning and intermediate musicians only hear what's on the radio and TV. “The Best Of Scott Henderson” and “Scott Henderson – Blues Guitar Collection” are available through Hal Leonard. For your average guitarist, all you have to do is mention a few 'one-million-or-more-sold-albums' guitar players to initiate endless gushing and fawning. What I did with the book is to take a chord type say major and. I think they sound beautiful and I can hear them working well in solo guitar or during rubato or slow spacey grooves with a band.įor everyday usage in typical situations I agree again with the previous reviewer that Khans book is more practical. While I agree with the previous reviewer that the voicings may have limited usage, I disagree that they sound bad. Concerning this book, it is a short one 5 pages or so total. He is a total master of the guitar.I can think of no one that blends rock and jazz together as well as he on the Tribal Tech recordings. I went to GIT back in the late 80's and was fortunate enough to see Scott perform many many times.
